Professional workshop: ‘Copywriting That Connects & Converts’ at theDesk

Ainslie Young, Marketing Consultant, globe-trotting Copywriter and certified Life Coach, recently hosted a hands-on workshop at theDesk, helping business owners learn to quickly and easily write copy that connects with customers and increases sales.

Writing great content to promote your beautiful product or service-based business can be a challenge. But ‘solpreneurs’ and small business owners were in for a treat at theDesk. Marketing expert, Ainslie Young, shares her wealth of experience in a fun, practical way. “It was less about theory, and more about getting hands-on and writing content to promote and sell your products and services,” she tells the newsDesk.

With a background in psychology and an MA in Marketing, Ainslie offers workshop participants expert advice on how to craft strategic content that cuts through the noise and reaches out to their ideal customers and clients. “You know you have to write copy for your website, sales page, email autoresponder series, new ebook etc. etc. but you literally can’t find the words. You simply don’t know where to start, and because of this, you’d rather go and scrub the bathroom!”

Content marketing is the way the world works these days. “I regularly meet business owners who are investing in beautiful websites that look great, but their copywriting doesn’t connect with their ideal customers. This impacts on their ability to grow their brand and increase sales,” she explains.

“Your words are responsible for selling your product or service. That’s why it’s so important to invest your time and energy into crafting effective copy.”

And it wasn’t  about the theory, Ainslie’s focus is always on practical application. “I reviewed writing during the workshop so participants could implement their new copy into their business straight away,” she says.

Mumpreneur, Ainslie, chose theDesk’s co-working and events space in Sai Ying Pun as the ideal place to continue growing her business. With a one-year-old child to care for, juggling family and work commitments can be challenging. But Ainslie is passionate about helping other women step out of their comfort zones so they can live the life they truly desire. “I help women find the clarity, direction and confidence to turn their dreams into a reality,” she explains.
