Are you a practicing Picasso? Can you draw like Dali? Come along to theDesk on Friday March 10 and find out when you get creative at ‘Wing Luk Wong’s off-the-wall art jam’. This is the first of three events at our co-working and events space that we’re running in March to tie in with Hong Kong Arts Month and all of the big events being held across town like Art Basel and Art Central. It’s actually more on-the-wall than off but the reason it’s called ‘off-the-wall’ is that art jammers should think outside the box when they put pen, pencils and paintbrushes to canvas. Wing, one of our featured artists in March, is mostly known for his drawings of our city but participants here can use any of the tools and materials provided to create a collaborative masterpiece on huge strips of paper across the bottom floor of theDesk. The theme is Hong Kong and anything else goes. Anyone, of any age or ability, can come and take part on either or both evenings and also learn from Wing and his techniques while having arty fun and meeting new friends. The event is from 7pm to 9pm at TheDesk, which is at 511 Queen’s Road West in Sai Ying Pun.
